DescriptionAs Lead Software Engineer on the Customization Services team, you will help drive Nike’s customization platform strategy by building cloud-based microservices to support multiple Commerce domains. The customization space is unique, complex, and critical to Nike’s future financial goals. You'll be joining an agile team that prides itself on high-quality, rapid delivery of valuable software, all while sleeping well at night.As Technical Lead, you will be critical to the success of building, coaching, and inspiring the team to set and reach lofty goals. This role is more than just about writing the best software. It is about helping to strengthen and grow a culture of continuous improvement in how we deliver value.Responsibilities:Own the quality of the platform in these areas: 
Observability, Security, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Performance
Maintain and improve engineering practices on the team:
Unit/Functional/Integration testing
Code Reviews/PRs
Continuous integration/continuous delivery
Monitoring and alerting
Documentation
Facilitate design sessions and manage implementation plans
Ensure cross-team work is understood and on track
Partner with Architecture to drive Nike’s customization objectives
Own the technology roadmap
New technology investments
Early requirements discovery
Tooling
Onboard and mentor new team members
Partner with the team’s Product Owner to drive clarity on business and engineering requirements
QualificationsWhat We're Looking For:
·5+ years using Java in distributed systems with high transaction volume
·Public cloud experience (AWS including EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS,     DynamoDB, Lambda preferred)
·Extreme programming (XP) development practices (TDD, Pair     programming)
·Track record of success on both sides of DevOps: quality development   and painless operations
·Focus on quality: unit testing (Spock), mutation testing (PIT), and     automated integration testing
·Continuous integration/deployment experience
·Direct experience building RESTful web services
·Understanding of "Software as a Service" and being a service provider
·Experience leading projects with collaborative, multi-disciplinary     development teams
·Deep understanding of distributed architectures
·Agile development experience (Scrum preferred)
·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent     experience
