Description
As our Apparel Innovation Sourcing Director, you’ll play a critical role in bringing some of the company’s most exciting Apparel products to life. It’s a big job, but you’ll have a big team working with you: you’ll collaborate closely with NXT team, Global Sourcing’s internal teams, the Manufacturing teams, Global Demand Supply Management teams, Direct Procurement team, Categories, Nike’s Liaison Offices, and our factory and material vendors.
You’ll be accountable for ensuring that our source, capacity, supply and material plans are aligned to support the smooth start-up of Innovation product production. You will work to stabilize and constantly improve key sourcing and planning processes across Nike and with our manufacturing partners to support bringing Innovation projects to scale.And most importantly, your efforts will drive to delivering our newest products to the market in-full and on-time.
·Define and provide strategic sourcing guidance for NXT projects
·Strategize key capability development plan that the partners need to build
·Identify and troubleshoot capacity constraints for innovation projects
·Identify strategic partner investments to support innovation scaling
·Design capacity scale plan with sourcing and manufacturing teams and develop key risk and mitigation plans
·Develop and implement processes and timelines for innovation projects, and educate key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the products
·Bring Global Sourcing & Manufacturing perspective to Innovation negotiations and agreements with suppliers
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years’ work experience in related industry experience
Comprehensive Supply Chain knowledge including awareness of processes and events from product concept through to delivery
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to make decisions without perfect information
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a strong sense of self-motivation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Nike Apparel source base and processes are preferred
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overseas travel
