DescriptionAs our Product Engineer I - Footwear, you'll act as a dedicated resource to the Category Engineering Director for Young Athlete category. You'll be focusing on product excellence through adherence to established best practices that ultimately drive and support quality, craftsmanship and efficiency. You'll enable product deliverables that are crafted, manufacturable, cost effective, and meet performance and quality expectations of the consumer. You'll act as a resource within the Category Engineering function during the development / ideation phase to identify and alleviate potential manufacturing, efficiency or costing concerns on assigned models. You'll collaborate with Offshore Engineering, Factory Production / Engineering technicians, Innovation and Product Creation teams, providing input on design, material choices and constructions. You'll collaborate with the offshore Costing Engineering, Development, Chemical & Product Engineering, Innovation and Manufacturing teams to identify and leverage potential manufacturing efficiencies that drive a reduced product cost. You'll collaborate with category team members in the use of best practice, design for manufacture and adherence to environment guidelines. You will facilitate the category's continued growth through the development of new designs, materials and manufacturing techniques.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, or related technical field, OR two additional years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 2 years' experience relevant industry experience (chemical, manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering), footwear/components manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling and manufacturing processes 
Ability to drive engineering solutions in footwear based on learning ability under seasoned engineering leadership
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and / or 3D digital files
Ability to work successfully across organizational matrix and as a team
Strong written & verbal communication skills - cultural sensitivity a must
Experience with injection molding is a plus
Ability to travel international up to 10%, and potential of overseas assignment
