DescriptionThe Director of Maintenance is responsible for the direct supervision of aircraft maintenance including supervising technicians and working directly on company owned and operated aircraft to achieve the highest level of safety and dispatch.Works within Nike Flight Operation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service.
Supervises and performs aircraft maintenance on company owned aircraft.
Plans and assigns work following the schedules and work orders.
Directs the work of outside contractors that are performing maintenance on company aircraft or related parts.
Develops, tracks, and meets the capital and expense budget for a project, service, and/or flight operations.
Reviews and approves maintenance related invoices from vendors.
Supervises maintenance planning and the obtaining of quotes from outside vendors for upcoming maintenance events.
Provides performance feedback, guidance, and performance management to a group of employees.
Orders parts for current and upcoming maintenance events.
Plan, conduct, and control of all company aircraft maintenance.
Environmental management.
Aircraft receipt and release procedures.
FAA Liaison.
Facility maintenance.
Maintenance Technician training, scheduling, and monitoring.
OSHA and EHS Compliance.
QualificationsCollege degree preferred or equivalent
Formal maintenance training on Nike Flight Operation specific aircraft preferred
FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
Valid automobile driver’s license Valid passport
Five years maintenance experience with high performance turbine aircraft.
Experience with Nike Flight Operation specific aircraft preferred.
Team player
Willing and able to work varied hours and schedules, as required
Willing and able to travel, as required, including international travel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
