DescriptionIn this role, as the Director of North America Trade Operations, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of Customs Operations and Compliance related to importation of products into the USA. In addition, you’ll facilitate the movement of finished products and related material/components to the USA at the right time, place and cost, while maintaining a high level of compliance with US Customs and other government agency regulations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade or related area, master’s degree preferred
8+ years’ experience in a management/leadership role
Extensive experience in the custom and international trade industry (including: import/export, policy and procedure management, customs and government agency audit management, project management, supply chain experience related to product flow techniques customs/documentation knowledge and EDI)
Experience with bid process management, project management and supply chain related to product flow
Extensive industry contacts/resources
Excellent working relationship and professional respect among customs and industry personnel at national or regional level
Proven track record in managing or working in a cross-functional, global, multi-team environment
Management experience within the customs and trade industry (at the corporate level within medium to large companies)
Proven success in hiring and developing a team of diverse individuals
A Current US Customs Brokerage license
