DescriptionAs our Category Marketplace Director, you'll provide global marketplace leadership by developing distribution strategies, specifically focused on the Sporting Goods and Department Store channels which enable the Geography teams to hit seasonal revenue, profit, and market share targets. You'll create consumer focused holistic marketplace distribution strategies that drive long term sustainable growth and deliver fully integrated product stories differentiated by consumer experience. You'll partner with VP of Marketplace Integration to ensure alignment with NIKE Direct, and Strategic Global Accounts that drive the Category Offense. You'll provide consumer insights and market sensing input during Category Alignment, Product Read Out, Integrated Seasonal Readiness and other Category Game plan meetings. You'll be accountable for developing and executing seasonal, quarterly, annual and three-year revenue plans that deliver to Category targets. You'll drive Nike profitability through accurate forecasting, scenario planning, and Geography seasonal target setting based on business analysis to evaluate marketplace capacity, market-share availability and consumer demand. You'll work closely with the Geography Category Sales Teams to deliver against category business strategy and priority objectives. You'll think digitally first and ensure seasonal product and marketing plans are lead digitally and amplified in store without key Global Accounts. You'll focus on Key Global accounts by understanding their growth strategies and representing those strategies in Global Game Plan meetings in order to ensure that seasonal plans enable those strategies. You'll help to create and deliver best in class seasonal tools that enable the Geography teams to tell our stories and land key products and stories in the right accounts, at the right time, with the right depth. You'll help the Global Team to deliver seasonal strategies that prepares the field sales teams to sell and facilitates "end in mind" execution. You'll work closely with Merchandising to develop consumer focused assortment plans and integrated category merchandising plans by channel of distribution and consumer experience. You'll partner with Brand to influence and shape the overall consumer retail experience. In addition, you'll deliver a Premium Customer Experience by building relationships, proactively delivering solution orientation, maintaining appropriate meeting cadence and strengthening the Nike Customer partnership.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Communications or related field
8 years of experience from sales, retail management, product marketing, retail presentation or related experience
Experience and/or in-depth understanding of product development and creation of product briefs a plus
Must understand the competitive market, customers and retail trends
Must have the ability to use financial data to make decisions and maximize account profitability
Must have the ability to understand complex business issues, find creative solutions, and make sound decisions
3 years Account Management / field sales experience
Strong understanding of sales processes, policies, and procedures - Strategic Account and Regional Sales experience with large volume
Category sport experience preferred
Athletic product experience preferred
Proven ability to create and drive strategic business planning
Financial / budget management. Proven ability to create and manage a budget
Corporate Matrix experience and ability to influence outcomes through networking & negotiating - Brand management
Experience directing and leading a process/function or team
Presenting to groups, including senior leaders
Must have experience working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Must have exceptional communication skills, including the abilities to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully and manage and resolve conflict
Must be able to communicate effectively with clear, concise written messages through memos, e-mails and reports
Strong understanding of retail math, seasonal assortment planning, business planning, retailer relationships and the leadership product process
Strong understanding of NIKE product lines preferred
