DescriptionOur Demand Creation strategy is a powerful catalyst for Nike’s growth, and a critical enabler to deliver on the Triple Double: 2X Innovation, 2X Speed and 2X Direct. The Global Brand Marketing teams build the foundation needed to reliably connect with our consumers more directly and with greater speed and agility.As the Global Demand Creation Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the accounting policies, processes and controls supporting our Brand Marketing and Other Demand Creation expenditures. You will proactively partner with the business to deliver key accounting insights to new initiatives, implement continuous process improvements, and ensure compliance with our internal controls and reporting requirements.Key responsibilities include:Own the global accounting policy, financial statement balances, disclosures, and process governance and controls related to advertising, product collaborations, and influencers 
Work cross functionally, as a trusted business partner, to inform business decisions and financial plans on technical accounting, financial reporting, financial risks, process and control requirements 
Perform technical accounting review of significant contracts, and advises geography partners on global the application of technical accounting policies 
Ensure financial statement accuracy through a sustainable, effective and efficient control environment and participate in the review of monthly, quarterly and annual operating results and financial sign-off with business leadership 
Engage key business leaders to obtain visibility and provide accounting guidance for new transactions enabling forecast accuracy and informed business decisions 
Maintain cross functional relationships in the upstream process of the investment lifecycle by providing value and accounting insight that will best drive data driven decisions 
Maintain and drive continuous process improvement through collaboration with finance and business partners to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness
QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline 
CPA is required 
7-9 years of Big 4 Public Accounting firm experience with SEC registrant reporting experience 
Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting principles, including variable interest entities, digital strategies, fixed assets, acquisitions, accrued expenses and research and development agreements 
Significant experience with contract/transaction review and execution and implementation strongly preferred 
Strong project management skills 
Ability to identify, research and resolve accounting issues 
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
High standards for attention to detail and organizational skills 
Strong ability to handle and effectively prioritize numerous and competing priorities and requests 
Ability to work cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization 
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
Strong proficiency with Excel, Outlook and Word 
Ability to pass a 7-year background check 
Preferred:SAP experience strongly preferred 
MBA is highly preferred
