DescriptionNike HR Operational Services is the engine powering the full suite of HR services. These services include the activation and delivery of all HR strategies in support of a growing workforce with over 74,000 employees across the globe.Within HR Services, the HR Operations & Risk Management team maintains a sustainable model of continuous improvement and operational risk management. As the HR Operations Strategy Director, you will play a critical role in partnering with Nike’s HR Operational Services Leadership team and key partners to evaluate, develop and activate a strategy for continuous improvement across Nike’s HR Shared Service Operations. You will partner closely with HR Core Operations, Talent Acquisition COE, Total Rewards COE, Talent Management COE, Nike Technology, and key leaders across the company to ensure HR Systems, processes and strategies are effective for current state and scalable for the future. In this role, it will be essential to drive alignment across multiple HR strategic and functional teams. You will need to think quickly, act decisively, and identify strategies to influence change where necessary. Nike, Inc. is a fast-paced business with a focus on precision.You will be responsible for understanding and articulating existing service level KPIs and the current process maturity level across the function. You will also be responsible for influencing the evolution of those KPIs as the HR organization evolves. This hands-on role will also lead a small internal team focused on operational insights and analytics and partner closely with multiple vendor resources.You will provide leadership and direction to develop and maintain a culture of operational excellence within HR Ops. You will continually focus on quality assurance, internal and external trend analysis, metrics and adoption across the function. Primary Responsibilities:Drive the strategic direction improving the effectiveness of Nike’s HR Operational Services Organization 
Represent Operational Services in all corporate sponsored process improvements efforts and projects
Participate in the evaluation of Shared Service tool, process, and advisory vendors across the function
Utilize specialized expertise to minimize compliance risks while increasing capacity of HR operational services 
Develop trusted relationships across the organization to effectively educate and influence risk and control issues as it relates to HR Operations
Anticipate roadblocks, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide practical approaches to problem solving
Evaluate service delivery performance with comparisons of cost, productivity, and quality inform future decisions
Oversees the supplier governance and contributes to the strategic direction of all Operational Services outsourcing relationships
Serves as initiative lead on implementation of new HRSS technologies and potentially ongoing enhancements 
Evaluates technology effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements
Forecasts financial budgets and cost savings opportunities for special projects and process improvements
Establishes a working relationship with the other leaders in Operational Services; ensure communication is effectively delivered and concerns are being addressed appropriately
Provides leadership, guidance and professional development of several direct reports
QualificationsSkills/CompetenciesExperience in HR business process improvement, redesign, and operational management
Technology experience and understanding in Customer Service Technology, HR Information Systems, and System Interfaces
Experience in building business cases to promote HRSS and align to performance and financial goals 
Proven project management and financial forecasting experience
Experience in supplier governance
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
Proven experience working with executive level stakeholders to drive change and define business processes
Able to manage, influence, partner, negotiate, and deliver presentations
Demonstrates effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with employees at all levels in the organization
Strong team development skills, excellent at clarifying common goals among diverse staff members, gaining consensus on an overall approach, and building a collaborative environment
Experience in performance management, including talent evaluations, career development planning and providing constructive feedback
Adaptive and flexible to new ideas and change
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree required; Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or Strategy & Operations major preferred

Experience operating regulatory frameworks related to HR programs and policies for multinational companies
Knowledge of HR Software and HR Consulting providers
Proven experience in areas of vendor relationships, project management, and performance management
Ability to lead, coach, inspire a team of indirect reports, vendors, and eventually direct reports
Ability to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
Ability to lead cross functional initiatives and project teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to clearly articulate objectives, strong information seeking skills and ability to make things happen
Minimum of 12+ years professional experience with increasing and relevant responsibilities
Minimum 8+ years in strategic management or other related experience
Minimum 3+ years experience in a HR Administration or HR Operational Services
Minimum 3+ years in a supervisory position
Minimum 2+ years in a project management role
