DescriptionNike’s Product Engineering group is looking for a thoughtful and encouraging Software Engineering Manager to guide and motivate our native mobile component development teams. Our component development teams make software and services for all of Nike’s consumer mobile applications. If you’ve used a Nike app to buy product, share activity, check your account, or take advantage of a product offer, you’ve seen our work.In this role you will be responsible for managing engineering on one to two small cross-functional development teams that also include product owners, designers, and quality assurance. Your teams will create consumer-facing Android and iOS user interfaces and frameworks in Objective-C/Swift and Java/Kotlin code, along with REST APIs in Kotlin on Nike’s AWS platform.You love to work with a diverse group of people and enjoy helping them grow in their roles. A self-aware leader, you recognize that it is your ability to build trust and be held accountable for your decisions that will ensure your team’s success.You stay up-to-date with mobile development tools and languages but know that writing code is no longer the best way for you to move your team forward.
