DescriptionAs our Plastic Machine Operator Lead you will provide assistance to the supervisor in the daily operations in a production area. You will provide technical support to team members, maintenance, engineering and production services by ensuring the set-up, running and adjustments to manufacturing equipment. You will audit production documentation to insure accuracy. Also, assist the supervisor with daily operations, training, scheduling and monthly safety training. Perform supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence. Audit and ensures material availability. Ensure work area and work teams maintain clean work areas while clean-ups and changeovers are performed timely and effectively. Provide leadership to lower level employees.We currently have 1 opening available for the following shift:Night 2: Friday - Sunday with every other Monday from 5:30pm - 5:30amQualificationsRequired:High School diploma or GED4+ years experience in manufacturing or related experienceAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and decimals with an understanding of weight and measurements (including metrics)Ability to read precision measuring instrumentsDisplays knowledge of equipment operation and problem solving and trouble shooting skillsGeneral manufacturing principles of mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics and pneumaticsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong results and service orientationExcellent ability to network and utilize internal and external resources.Demonstrated leadership skills and basic understanding of supervisory approaches in areas such as scheduling, training, monitoring, and coaching the work of lower level employeesExpert ability to handle multiple, competing and confidential priorities, requests, and deadlines as well as exercise good judgment in setting priorities, executing instructions, and follow-through.Expert ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented and team environmentMay be required to lift 30-70 pounds when doing tool changes.Assignment may be to multiple machines so job rotation may be frequent.Excellent vision is essential in visually identify and distinguish colorsPreferred:1 year experience leading teamsTechnical training, mechanical training or military experiencePlastics Technology Certification or Associates DegreeAbility to pass a 7 year background check and drug screen NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
