Description
As our Nike Sportswear Brand Manager you are responsible for brand management, providing strategic input and driving functional excellence within North America, with a major focus on New York and Los Angeles. Based in Portland, you’ll play a key role in the creation and planning of category and seasonal initiatives that drive brand strength, fuel consumer demand and build our connection with consumers.
Key Responsibilities
Be the voice of the Nike Sportswear consumer and protector of the brand.
Partner with Brand Director to support North America Sportswear brand concept and creative development, marketing briefs, strategic tools and marketing plans to fuel the brand from Seasonal Kick-off (SKO) to Gut-Check, Plan-Lock, Creative Review (CR), Launch Readiness and Precap.
Assess concepts and strategy against consumer insights and the Sportswear category vision, to drive a robust concept map and continually create new consumer experiences that accelerate brand and business growth opportunities internally and externally.
Manage collaboration through-out the game plan process to engage cross-categorically; Nike Running, Nike Basketball and the Nike Women’s Offense and cross-functionally; Brand Design, PR & Communications, Integrated Retail Marketing (Retail Brand, Account Marketing, Retail Design), Digital Marketing (Digital Brand, Digital Commerce, Digital Design), Brand Experience (Digital Marketing Innovation, Brand Communications, Brand Media, Events), Influencer Marketing (Entertainment, NRG) and Sports Marketing.
Power the market by delivering an integrated, idea led, journey for the consumer in North America, through strategic marketing efforts around key game changers, maximizing drivers and resources.
Actively measure campaign progress through weekly Pulse-Checking, Recapping final results and team tear-down sessions to drive a culture of constant learning and improvement.
Support an end-to-end process including input sessions to gain insight from consumers in every aspect including cultural trends that integrate the city voice in partnership with territory teams.
Manage relationship with key consumer groups and work closely with Sports Marketing, cross-category Marketing teams, Global and Territory Marketing teams to identify influencers and stay current on market trends.
Liaison for product technical specifications, key innovations, distribution and account partnerships with Merchandising, Sales, Finance and Demand and Supply Management.
Manage campaign progress measurement through weekly Pulse-Checking, Recapping final results and team tear-down sessions to drive a culture of constant learning and improvement.
Work with finance/ops to track budgets according to corporate standards.
Maintain a collaborative, highly creative and progressive approach.
Put the team first and live the Nike brand commitments.
Work effectively within the matrix organization.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a closely related field.
5 years’ experience in consumer marketing or related experience in marketing strategy, marketing planning, marketing implementation, retail merchandising, display and events.
Demonstrated genuine passion and knowledge of Sneaker/Streetwear culture, fashion and trends.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others.
Experience working within a team, and thrives in a team environment.
Ability to lead initiatives and project teams.
Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Keynote. Experiemce with SAP is a plus.
