You will play a critical role in design and development of RESTful APIs to internal and external ecommerce partners. Our services and applications play a central role in facilitating cart and checkout operations, including the native apps and Nike.com. You will have opportunities to lead by example in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and ensuring our solutions are of the highest quality. The successful candidate is a proven technical contributor with excellent communication and relationship building skills in addition to current, hands-on coding skills. Also, you will provide ATG Commerce knowledge and expertise to help the team supporting and developing new enhancements on ATG platform.This position includes the following specific responsibilities:•Participate in designing and building implementations of common software platforms for other Nike teams.•Responsible for ensuring solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, highly resilient cloud native architecture•Mentoring and leading other engineers within your team•Evangelize and cultivate adoption of Enterprise Platforms, open source software and agile principles within the organization•Work with product management to support product / service scoping activities•Deliver well-documented and well-tested code, and participate in peer code reviews•Design and develop tools and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for the technology foundation of our platform•Ensure product and technical features are delivered to spec and on-time•Collaborate with and consult other Nike development teams•Explain designs and constraints to stakeholders and technical teams•Assist in the support and operation of the platforms you help build•Work with leadership to define delivery schedules of key features through an agile framework•Be a contributor to overall architecture, framework and design of enterprise platforms•Ability to work in a complex environment. Self-starter who can work without a lot of supervision or direction, willing to make decisions without checking with others.•Experience estimating work, planning, organization and implementing complex software projects.•Ensure successful quality software with emphasis in these areas:oSecurityoPrivacyoReliabilityoAvailabilityoMaintainabilityoPerformanceQualifications•Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of Engineering.•5+ years overall experience in Java/J2EE applications.•2+ years of experience with working on e-Commerce projects developed with ATG Commerce suite and JBoss application server. •Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and design patterns.•Experience designing APIs and creating Java RESTful services.•Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test driven development, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.•Experience working in a Distributed/Cloud-based environment (AWS is preferred).•Experience with CI/CD and working on teams with DevOps responsibilities•Understanding of agile principles and the Scrum development process.
