DescriptionInnovation is the heart of Nike. As a Technical Lead for the Line Planning Capability, you will be revolutionizing the intersection of technology and the Product Line Planning function by delivering an application ecosystem to produce, consume, and distribute data.Our team is dedicated to delivering quickly, where everyone is empowered to design solutions for new features and review code of other team members. Your leadership skills are key to this strategy, e.g. coaching best practices to product delivery teams, teaching best practices for forward-looking activities, researching and proving new technologies to help us innovate at scale.What We're Looking ForUtilizing your background in software engineering to work in our fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will play a key contributor role in all phases of the software development lifecycle. You will oversee a team consisting of development and QA Engineers, and support Agile teams to ensure that we move quickly and deliver solutions that meet the needs of our business partners. You'll collaborate with other software engineers, architects, and product owners to create first-class solutions that support Nike’s aggressive growth.Qualifications•7 years professional IT or related experience•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field•2 years of additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree•2 years of experience in a technical lead role•Participation in key business, architectural and technical decisions•Robust experience in planning, estimating and executing complex software projects•Strong skills in solution design, development and QA•3 years of experience developing object-oriented, web-based business applications in a Java multi-tiered environment •1 year of experience developing web services with Spring framework•Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and micro-services •Working knowledge of UI development in JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prefer experience in Angular, React or other modern JavaScript framework. •3 years of experience working with relational or no-SQL data stores. •Working knowledge of the Amazon Web Services stack preferred•2 years' experience with build tools, continuous Integration (CI)/continuous deployment (CD), and code management tools like GITHUB. Deep knowledge of modern CI/CD practices including automation and test driven development.•Strong understanding of application and enterprise integration. •Knowledge of next generation technologies, including Spark, Hive, Snowflake, Python, RDS and Red Shift is a plus•Knowledge of DevOps practices including 12 Factor App, pipeline automation, metrics and cloud-native architecture •2 years of experience working in an Agile team with Scrum, Kanban or XP.
