DescriptionFor Nike merchants, everything begins and ends with the consumer. As the North America Strategic Initiatives Merchandising Manager, you will provide leadership and functional excellence to drive merchandising strategies and execution for the Nike Brand across the integrated marketplace. You will be responsible for driving premium, profitable and sustainable growth across our diverse and dynamic marketplace. This role creates guidance, drives harmonization and optimization across category to ensure a holistic, premium, differentiated, and integrated marketplace. You will drive consumer connection by ensuring impact of our most important ideas, brand consistency, productivity, and profitability. You will build and communicate seasonal capacity across the integrated marketplace accounting for consumer, trends and competition. Through these marketplace strategies, you will drive growth for each channel, while driving appropriate segmentation and differentiation for the marketplace.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of proven and tested experience in merchandising, buying or integrated retail related role. Fully proficient skills in assortment planning, retail acumen, marketplace knowledge, consumer knowledge and line planning.
Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective using existing solutions.
Proficient information seeking skills and drive for results.
Strong analytical skills.
Proven ability to ideate and apply creative thinking, including retail execution, color application in assortments, and visual presentation development.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
Experience in a cross-functional work environment, project management or matrix organization. 
Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives, network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources as well as demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to inspire and mentor others within a work group.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Keynote, MMX and AV are a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field required 
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
