The Nike, Inc. Supply Chain team is the engine that propels product around the world. Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide — making the impossible happen every single day.
DescriptionAs our Material Handler, you'll process Customer Orders (Outbound): Receive, pick, verify, and ship customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Your job functions will also include restocking product (go-backs), researching customer order and inventory inconsistencies, and inspecting and restocking returned product. You'll also receive New Product and Raw Material Deliveries (Inbound): Unloading trailers and identifying product. You'll sort items by PO, style number, color, and size. You'll determine locations into which product is received. You'll understand Goods Receipt process in WMS. Label and put away product. Furthermore, you'll maintain Product Inventory: Locating and transferring product accurately and in a timely manner. You'll research product availability to ensure order fulfillment. You'll troubleshoot and resolve inventory inconsistencies using both systems and manual inventory data, while working with systems, inventory and order management personnel. You'll work with warehouse computer applications (Styleman, Access & Excel). You'll also become proficient in use of order pickers, reaches, fabric cutting machines, and shrink-wrap machine. You'll have the opportunity to participate in projects and teams to continuously improve the operation. You'll maintain a safe, clean work environment at all times. In addition, you'll perform other operational duties as required.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED
6 months experience working in an automated distribution operation required
2 years' distribution/manufacturing/operations experience preferred
Ability to read and write basic English
Ability to count accurately and do simple math
Basic computer skills
Warehouse equipment driving experience preferred
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 35 to 50 lbs continuously
