DescriptionAs a member of the Global LER2R (Legal Entity Record to Report) team, the Global LER2R Accounting Manager will take a lead role in the continuous improvement of our accounting, close, and reporting processes and control environment to enable Nike’s ongoing growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Ownership of a set of North America-based legal entities
Ensure timely and accurate month/quarter-end closing and reporting for assigned legal entities & segments (North America, Corporate, and Global Brand Divisions)
Assist Director of Global LER2R and coordinate with Finance and Strategy stakeholders for new legal entities to ensure proper structuring and recording of activities
Manage, coordinate, and perform financial reporting and internal control processes
Develop high profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers of the business while demonstrating mastery of US GAAP
Work closely with the Financial Planning and the Global Controlling Operations team to enable new business strategies and optimize/enhance accounting processes
Support Internal & External Audit and internal controls work as needed
Be a leader within the NIKE Finance and Controlling organization to develop, embrace, and create/deliver best practices and new accounting policies
Participate in the development of Global LER2R’s strategic objectives and proactively set targets / measurables to enable the team’s success in achieving these goals

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, finance or related functions
Big 4 Public accounting experience and/or Certified Public Accountant is required
Proactive, committed, independent, resourceful, meticulous & responsible
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proven success in developing organization operating standards/processes as well as supporting documentation
Strong communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership team and influence across a large, global matrixed organization
High standards for quality and the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and requests; ability to innovate and navigate through ambiguity
Extensive US GAAP experience and technical accounting knowledge preferred
Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with SAP & BPC preferred
Proven ability to problem solve and effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts
Ability to pass a 7 year background check
