The Enterprise Architecture team will partner and engage with business and technology leaders across all the business functions within the enterprise in planning, creating, maintaining and executing a capability roadmap aligned to the overall company and functional strategies to ensure that the people, process, data insights/information, and technology needs are accurately captured and planned for short, medium and long-term execution.
As Technical Architect for Supply Planning, you will be part of a highly visible team focused on enabling Nike’s end-to-end Digital Capability.  The Technical strategy and architecture you help define will have a direct impact on Digitization strategy. 
You will engage, collaborate and partner with Nike’s Planning community leaders and stakeholders across Business and Technology to understand long and short-term business strategies, provide thought leadership, and engage in proactive planning of an executable Design.  You will also be responsible for helping establish the practice of Enterprise Architecture within Nike and will bring broad experiences in driving quality & consistency across business architecture methodology and deliverables enterprise wide.
Scope and Responsibilities:We are seeking a high performing Technical Architect to lead best practices for our Supply Planning teams. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching developers to continuously elevate their engineering skills to deliver innovative and high-quality services that enables our cloud teams to build capabilities in a consistent, maintainable and highly scalable manner. You’ll lead by example, evangelize an agile culture, and be an advocate of new technology and development techniques. The successful candidate is a proven architect with excellent communication and relationship building skills in addition to current, hands-on coding skills.

Qualifications7+ years combined hands-on engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions
1 year acting in an architecture or lead role
Large enterprise experience including global experience with solution delivery
A passion for technology and solving interesting challenges
Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. VPC, networking, security and isolation, routing, scalability, cloud native architecture)
Experience in NoSQL data stores, such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar technologies
Prior experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications
Diverse and deep experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, or Scala
Experience with continuous integration, test driven design, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred
Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area.  2 years additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of degree
