DescriptionNike Manufacturing and Sourcing teams constantly challenge the assumptions about how products are made. They come up with big ideas, test principles and perfect production processes. They work closely with Nike’s hundreds of manufacturing partners across multiple countries to develop new methods of making to create better-performing products with less waste. The Manufacturing and Sourcing organization is looking for dynamic interns to join their teams across a variety of functional areas including AIR Manufacturing Innovation (AIR MI), Footwear Manufacturing, Apparel Manufacturing, and Product Integrity. MANUFACTURING DESIGN ENGINEER As our Design Engineering Intern, you will join the team to assist in one or more of the following areas: product design & development, tooling design, and manufacturing of products related to Nike Air. You will be mentored by your design engineering and cross functional teammates and use your 3D design and engineering skills to execute product and tooling designs as dictated by the program(s) to which you are assigned. You’ll use 3D software (almost exclusively SolidWorks), engineering and/or machine design knowledge and ideas, additive manufacturing technology, and hands on experiences to design, refine or modify, and carefully document tooling designs and machine components. Alongside your design engineering teammates, you will work with other engineers (development, process, manufacturing, and quality), the in house machine shop, and production teams throughout the phases of the program(s) or project(s) to which you are assigned. MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEERAs our Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will join the team to assist in the manufacturing of products related to Nike Air and to Footwear. Your work could include process development, tooling optimization, production support etc. You will be mentored by your process engineering and cross functional teammates and use your engineering skills to execute product development or continuous improvement efforts as dictated by the program(s) to which you are assigned. You’ll use engineering and/or machine knowledge and ideas, additive manufacturing technology, and hands on experiences to design, refine or modify, and carefully document machine processes and parameters. Alongside your manufacturing engineering teammates, you will work with other engineers (development, design, and quality), the in-house machine shop, and production teams throughout the phases of the program(s) or project(s) to which you are assigned. PRODUCT TESTING ENGINEERAs our Apparel Test Engineer, you will work with a team of experts on our Apparel Product Integrity laboratory to develop new product testing protocols and to gather and analyze test data. This data will be used to affect critical decisions related to our product development process and to ensure that the quality of our products reaches the high standards are consumers expect. DATA ANALYST As our Data Analytics intern you will use your data analytics skills and passion for NIKE product to influence critical decisions across the organization. You will work across multiple stakeholders and functions to identify and gather the data you need. You will be expected to dive deep into the details, but to present your high-level analysis to senior leaders.QualificationsCurrently pursuing an undergraduate degree in with an anticipated graduation of June 2019 
Preferred degrees include: Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. Manufacturing, Materials, Plastics, Polymers, or similar field 
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and concepts such as Design for Manufacturing/Assembly 
Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment 
Some proficiency in Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software 
Knowledge of CNC machining methods, equipment and processes, and additive manufacturing 
Knowledge of sporting goods products preferred 
Knowledge of polymers equipment and processes 
Ability to handle multiple competing projects simultaneously 
Ability to analyze problems, develop innovative solutions when required, and deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Energetic team player who is eager to learn?
