DescriptionThe Nike Direct Retail Capabilities Manager will work across the Retail Center of Excellence (RCOE) to define, align and deliver cross-functional strategies, priorities and roadmaps that build retail capabilities that enable differentiated consumer experiences. They will also manage cross-functional teams to define and deliver plans that improve existing or deliver new inventory management capabilities for Nike Direct.
Responsibilities include:
Work with RCOE VP and Sr Director to identify consumer-led retail capability opportunities and priorities
Coordinate across RCOE leaders and teams to define and drive the RCOE strategy, priorities and plans
Manage Global and Geo cross-functional teams to design new, innovative and improved inventory management capabilities that deliver consumer and business value
Work with Global and Geo teams to operationalize new retail capabilities through a pilot, perfect, scale approach
Create key levers to manage new capabilities and provide frameworks to Geos to create consumer and brand value
Deliver RCOE 3-year and annual strategies, priorities and plans in partnership with RCOE leaders
Coordinate strategies, priorities and plans with RCOE Geo partners
Define specific end-to-end consumer-led retail capabilities with key partners
Work with partners to scope and design capability initiative objectives, work-plans and deliverables
Define pilots, key processes & playbooks, KPIs, & reporting
Develop business cases and performance metrics for individual retail excellence capability initiatives
QualificationsStrategic acumen, inclusive of driving change and/or new biz models with a ‘systems thinking’ mindset
Strong analytical and business modeling skills
Experience managing diverse cross-functional teams to drive toward a common goal and clear deliverables
Demonstrated knowledge of physical and digital retail operations
Experience working with technology as an enabler to business processes
MBA preferred
Experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy highly preferred
Experience leading and managing large process change efforts
Multi-functional experience—ideally across operations/supply chain, digital + physical retail, and/or marketing
Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues and navigate the Nike Matrix
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, and negotiate tense situations successfully
