As Manager of Global Operations Analytic Insights in GPMA (Global Product & Merchandising Analytics) you will unlock new and transformational insights for leaders in Product, Design, Development and Merchandising teams that enable improvements in insight driven decision making. You’ll be using your strategic development muscle to set the strategy for rolling out top level key performance indicators. You’ll be coming in at the ground level in helping to prove out the value of analytical thinking by bringing your expertise to help strengthen Nike’s foundation of using product, marketplace and consumer data to make better decisions. You will translate optimization results, social media data, membership and digital data into actionable insights, dashboards, and reports for an executive audience. The ability to prepare executive level presentations, build consensus on actionable insights and develop strong, collaborative relationships with a multitude of stakeholders will be key to your success.
You must be a self-starter, flexible thinker, proactive, and a good communicator who is comfortable with ambiguity and leads by example.  You must love solving logical puzzles, be comfortable with big data sets, and have a proven ability to connect the dots between different workstreams.  Your ability to develop personal relationships, build trust, and embrace the balance of art and science will set you apart as you join Nike's analytics awakening.
Key Job Responsibilities
Ability to communicate with technical teams to obtain and analyze big data sets with an executive level audience to address key consumer needs, in more efficient ways
Provide insights that drive optimization through careful management of key performance metrics like revenue, productivity, margin, readiness, volatility and consumer sentiment
Collaborate with senior leaders, product owners, end-users and development teams to create and quickly iterate on analytic solutions (reports, dashboards, models) through POC's and MPVs that help drive more data-driven decisions throughout the product creation lifecycle
Address business-facing questions related to data models, reports, or insights  
Build confidence in the numbers by becoming an expert in the underlying data and translating that knowledge in consumable ways
QualificationsDemonstrated history as a committed and collaborative team player
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Stats or a related field (MS preferred)
7 - 10 years of experience working with data, reporting, planning, or analytics
Strong technical and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to learn new tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc). Proficient in data acquisition and wrangling. Familiarity with SQL, ETL processes and relational databases
Ability to translate complex data in to understandable, actionable insights that align with corporate strategic objectives
Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to thrive in ambiguity
Self-starter with an ability to support multiple workstreams across different functions while managing competing priorities
Nice to HaveExperience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of Sports Apparel & Footwear market preferred
Familiarity with Nike’s product game plan; direct functional experience in Sales, Merchandising, or Product Development
Experience analyzing digital data sets (Social Media, Web, Membership, etc.)
