DescriptionIn this role, you will report directly to the Sr. Director, Nike Tennis and be responsible for providing brand management, strategic direction, team collaboration, functional excellence and game planning excellence. You will be the most visible brand leader for the category.
You will be in charge of the long-term strategy and creation of seasonal marketing plans and the management of its execution across the globe to fuel consumer demand, drive brand strength and strengthen the Nike brand connection with consumers. Impact of this leadership should drive brand impact and business results.
You will partner with category leadership on the development of product stories and innovation, marketplace strategies and lead any cross category/cross functional initiatives through the lens of the tennis category. 
Key Responsibilities:Leadership, Vision, and Strategic Planning
Lead the creation and the development of a long-term strategic vision for the category, the athletes and the moments that serve the brand. 
Lead an integrated, x-functional brand offense focused on athletes, the consumer, and pushing the brand forward that will impact overall business growth and opportunity.
Responsible for setting the seasonal direction for the Global Marketing functions & Geo Marketing teams for a cohesive execution of product launches and seasonal initiatives.
Partner x-functionally with product team, merchandising, marketplace, and geo team to ensure product, consumer & athlete are at the forefront of all strategic planning and execution. 
Timely and effective delivery of seasonal Marketing Plan and follow-through on execution.
Effective and collaborative stakeholder management across the organization and the partners including sports marketing, influencers, and business partnerships.
Budget management.
Partnership development and managementActively create, initiate and manage partnerships, both internally and externally on behalf of the Tennis category.
Create energy on and off the court working with key category industry partners, as well as partnering with the influencer / entertainment organization to break into new spaces that transcend the sport.
Build strong relationships with both internal and external partners, including sports marketing, the athletes and their respective management teams, and all other Nike Marketing functions.
Drive a 365 brand offense across Nike Brands strategic pillars. Continuously obsess opportunities to leverage and amplify athlete journeys to power our brand voice.
Serve as a hub : ensure alignment, creativity and insight in all marketing disciplines and focus on cross functional and cross geo execution of the consumer journey. 
People Management and LeadershipEngage and inspire all teams that touch the work.
Serve as a key member the Nike Tennis brand leadership team.
Build strong relationships with the respective global and geo counterparts.
Provide clear communication across the entire organization. 
Act as an advocate for the consumer, the brand, and the athlete.
Provide leadership and coaching to all team members. 
Be transparent: communicate well and often with your close and extended teams.

QualificationsBA/BS degree preferred 
5-8+ years of work experience in brand marketing/advertising at a brand and/or agency.
Proven ability to lead across advertising and storytelling with a focus on youth culture, preferably within the footwear, apparel, sport, or fitness industry
Well-versed in new and innovative media channels, and be an expert in finding a sharp point of view, and interesting new ways to engage consumers in a big idea
Demonstrated ability to apply these skills in innovative ways that elevate brand excellence.
Experience managing content production including high-end premium production as well as down-and-dirty quick-turn content creation.
Strong understanding of digital technologies, trends and social media landscape
Knowledge and sensitivity to trends influencing content creation and delivery.
Must be able to write creative briefs that clearly articulate communication objectives and success criteria in order to inform and direct agency work and creative development
Connections to sport and youth culture preferred. 
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to create and deliver presentations.
Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines (Advertising, design, media)
Demonstrated knowledge of entire campaign process from conceptualization through production.
Ability to travel 20%.
