DescriptionIf you’re ready to innovate and lead in the Digital space, join Nike Digital’s Engineering organization. As part of the Innovation team, you will be responsible for creating, developing and deploying everything from early prototypes to full blown production services and experiences designed to test the boundaries for how Nike engages with consumers digitally.

Your Role on the TeamWe are looking for an Innovation Engineer, focused on Machine Learning, to help lead the way for new search & recommendation capabilities, powered by AI/deep learning. As a member of our team you will work closely with a cross-functional group to research, design, and develop the supporting models, pipelines and services to enable this. In addition to driving this new capability forward, you’ll play a critical role in helping identify and prove out future applications of AI/ML across our digital portfolio.
You are a highly-motivated engineer with experience delivering high-quality software solutions. You have a proven knowledge of software engineering fundamentals and an appetite for continuous learning and teamwork. You are out in front of the latest trends in machine learning and you know how to extract insights and make predictions from datasets–both small and large.
QualificationsWhat we're looking for:
Passion for technology and learning, with a natural curiosity and a love for delivering real-world solutions in an agile environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Production-grade experience with established machine learning workflows utilizing popular frameworks or cloud-native solutions for machine/deep learning— TensorFlow, numpy, scikit-learn, Pandas, etc
Practical experience analyzing large datasets and applying machine learning or AI algorithms to solve real world problems
Expertise in one or more server-side languages like Python, NodeJS, or Java
Experience with NoSQL data stores, such as DynamoDB, or similar technologies
Experience working in a Distributed/Cloud-based environment (AWS preferred)
Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests
Ability to evaluate technical feasibility of product ideas, provide estimates on effort and risk, and articulate the pros & cons of different solutions
Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews
