Embedded in teams across the company, strategy professionals explore complex business issues; conduct consumer, competitive and market analyses; create financial models and develop action plans. The Strategic Planning teams help write the future of sport by charting Nike’s path forward.
DescriptionWill work closely with senior executive leadership to direct the strategic business planning process, report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly results and opportunities, and author one to three year or more strategic plans in Beaverton, OR. Will shepherd the development and implementation of prioritized strategic initiatives. Will partner and collaborate cross functionally with senior executives, strategic planners, and finance leaders to advance long-term strategic agendas. Will independently lead special projects in collaboration with finance and strategy leaders to help identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and strategic problems, and to catalyze action against these priorities through strategic and long-range business planning and performance management. Will manage the financial analysis of pertinent information to determine progress against strategic plan, budget, and forecast. Will lead the interpretation and review of financial results with business partners, including trends, issues, and opportunities in order to drive actionable responses. Will ensure that management is educated on the use and interpretation of financial reports and metrics and will advise on financial implications of business decisions. Will lead and execute budget and action plan development for the division, assuring delivery of financial and operation objectives that are consistent with the strategic plan and overseeing strategic business planning process. Will recommend and execute process improvements as necessary. Will provide key business leadership through activities such as strategic planning, business development, resource optimization, financial modeling, scenario planning, and reporting. Will provide input into business unit planning and performance metrics. Will drive consumer and customers to determine financial and commercial strategies and growth. Will lead competitive analysis to determine market shares on a national and international scale. Will oversee the development of new business models and strategic projects and processes. Will engage in 15 percent domestic and international travel. QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, or finance. Experience: 3 years of experience in financial management. Skills/Requirements: 1 year of experience: (1) financial management and strategic planning for multinational organizations, (2) financial analysis to drive international business performance, (3) team and project management, (4) developing and driving strategic projects (5) competitive analysis to determine market shares on a national and international scale, (6) consumer and customer analysis to determine financial strategies and business growth opportunities, and (7) presenting reports and presentations on financial management to senior leadership.
