DescriptionAs the North America Brand Marketing Specialist for Nike Basketball, you will assist in the planning and implementation of category and seasonal initiatives for Nike Basketball that strengthen the brand, fuel consumer demand and support our connection with consumers. You’ll will be responsible for coordinating and managing integrated marketing timelines and calendars for the category, compiling and organizing key seasonal assets needed to implement plans and responsible for tracking and managing project budgets. You’ll maintain close relationships with key consumer groups, help identify influencers and stay current on market trends to gain knowledge/feedback and help facilitate creative marketing plans to grow and strengthen business. You’ll be responsible for managing seasonal product buys and budgeting, ensuring timely delivery of product for category and program executions. Additionally, you’ll serve as the primary product contact for the functional category and marketing teams for their needs across product, messaging and athletes.Key Responsibilities:Be the voice of the Nike Basketball consumer and protector of the brand
Co-own consumer insights; monitor the pulse of the consumer and movements of competition with Territory teams to deliver thoughtful implications and trends for the category and brand
Overall team support: Support collective Basketball Brand team thru brand concepting and creative development, marketing briefs, strategic tools and marketing plans to deliver work on time and in service of the consumer.
Product management: Seasonal product maps and information for distribution to the larger team; as well as seasonal product buys and inventory partnering with Product, Merchandise, Demand and Supply Management as well as functional partners, such as Sports Marketing and PR
Plan and oversee budgets for owned and assigned tasks
Prioritize effectively to oversee tasks and work streams that will make the most difference to the brand and business
Co-lead weekly and quarterly reporting to Geography and Category leadership
Maintain a collaborative, highly creative and progressive approach
Communicate effectively with clear, concise written messages thru meeting notes, emails and reports
Develop and maintain relationships to work effectively within the matrix organization and with external partners
QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline
2+ years' experience in consumer marketing or related experience with an emphasis in marketing, promotions, event management, public relations and/or retail
2 years' additional experience in lieu of degree
Thorough knowledge of athletic industry and trends in the marketplace with an understanding of the competitive market, customers and retail trends
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Keynote, Outlook, Word and Excel
Preferred:Passion/expertise for Basketball category
