DescriptionNike Direct Engineering is looking for a Tech Lead specializing in iOS development to lead the production and distribution of world class applications in Retail Brick and Mortar. As a Tech Lead, you bring multiple skills to Nike: technical expertise, architectural skills, leadership, and general project-management skills. You are looked to as a thought leader, and a mentor. You have a proven track record of leading 1-2 squads through ideation, development, and distribution of major application features.Scope and Responsibilities•Create the applications that power the Retail Mobile Experience across the fleet of over 2100 Nike stores•Drive the right solutions for the business, helping solve nebulous technical problems, and scalable, resilient products that have huge impact on our Retail environment•Lead, coach, and inspire your team to greatness•Collaborate with multiple product teams to establish common architecture, custom frameworks, and best practices to create efficiencies and opportunities for reuse•Collaborate across teams outside of Retail to bring new ideas and processes to the larger NDE communityQualifications•10+ years of experience in engineering, IT, or a related field•Demonstrated experience developing iOS applications, both in Enterprise and consumer environments•Solid knowledge of Swift and iOS frameworks (mastery of common frameworks such as UIKit, CoreData, CoreLocation, etc)•Adept at modern DevOps practices (test-driven and behavior-driven development, build and deployment automation, mocking frameworks)•Comfortable adopting the latest iOS SDKs from Apple•Experience building custom libraries or frameworks•Excellent communication and documentation skills•Experience working with dependency management using Carthage, Cocoapods, Submodules, or Package Manager•Experience mentoring junior engineers, a track record of maximizing talent•Experience conducting interviews, including technical screens and panel interviews•Familiarity with Agile practices NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
