As our Retail Workforce Optimization Planning Manager, you'll drive retail operational excellence and consistency by providing expertise (tools, systems, communication, and processes) necessary for stores to improve their business and profitability. You'll focus on budget and expense control, particularly with regard to payroll, labor scheduling and labor systems. You'll work to create best practices with the Workforce Optimization Manager; analyze, review and update current business processes to ensure stores are effectively managing their payroll hours and cost. You'll also be relied on to keep current on store scheduling and labor management systems (Kronos Workforce Management and future systems) and their functionality. You'll be a functional expert within Operations for determining proper hiring levels, the use of the scheduling systems, and how to manage labor cost to meet payroll budgets. You'll identify areas for process improvements through assessment and review, and deliver programs through project management. You'll partner with the Nike Direct Finance team to determine budget, and with the Director of Stores to hold stores accountable. You'll partner with other Store Operations teams to ensure a seamless integration of process between different store functions. You'll be the voice of the field in store payroll and labor scheduling issues. You'll also ensure any reporting requirements or ongoing responsibilities are handled in a timely manner. You'll also be relied on to interact with IT to influence the future of payroll budgeting within the scheduling system. 
QualificationsBachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; 2 additional years' experience is accepted in lieu of degree
4+ years' retail management, retail operations analysis, or finance experience
Proficiency in Word, , PowerPoint and Access and advanced expertise in Excel
General understanding of retail store systems and equipment (point of sale, inventory management, hand-held terminals, labor scheduling application, etc.)
Ability to travel to retail store locations approximately 15% of the time
Experience in Nike Retail stores is preferred
Store management or corporate experience in an operations capacity is preferred
Project-management training/certification is preferred
Strong time management and organization skills
