Description If you're ready to innovate and lead in the Solution and Technical Architecture space, join Nike’s Enterprise Architecture organization! You will be part of an organization that is revolutionizing Nike technology platforms and architecting a technology landscape that is simplified, modern, and flexible and will ultimately enable Nike on its journey to 2020 and beyond.  The Architecture team will partner and engage directly with business and technology leaders across Nike in planning, creating, maintaining and executing technology solutions that are aligned to Nike’s strategic roadmap and architectural principles established by enterprise architecture.

As the director of information & data architecture, you will be setting strategy and organization for a group of highly skilled principal architects that manage all things data and analytics within Nike Technology. This is a highly visible role, guiding both engineering and business teams on data and analytics architecture solutions and technology. Your team will deliver architecture and design patterns and standards, information models, system landscapes and future state data interactions across Nike’s ecosystem.
In this role, you will stay abreast of industry trends and technology and connect them back to solution for Nike business. You will engage, collaborate and partner with various technical leaders and executive stakeholders to understand long and short term business and technology strategies, provide thought leadership and engage in proactive planning of an executable technology roadmap. These roadmaps will address the strategic and tactical business and technology priorities as well as challenges and intended business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
·Build the mission, scope and organization structure that supports a strong information and data architecture foundation across all key strategic areas within the company.
·Lead the team to build an end-to-end data fabric that is aligned to Nike’s business capabilities.  This data fabric will essentially drive a loosely coupled, flexible and scalable architecture.
·Partner with broad architecture organization and engineering and business leadership to build and implement data governance and data quality frameworks
·Understand and articulate the needs of business and technical stakeholders via regular dialogue and proactively advise them on data management principles and standards
·Hire, inspire and motivate a group of highly skilled architects to transform Nike business strategy into information architecture plans and goals
·Lead planning and prioritization with a focus on strategic objectives and vision, balanced with business deliverables
·Build a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by staying up on technology trends
·Manage through a matrixed culture of the organization and build consensus through expertise and education
