DescriptionAs a member of Nike’s Seasonal Execution team, the Pre-Season Operations Director will work alongside experienced operations and planning professionals passionate about driving innovation in Nike’s global supply chain strategy and operations. The Pre-Season Operations Director will leverage a strong background in operations, data analysis, quantitative modeling, and excellent collaboration & communication skills to build capabilities that elevate service and performance for consumers worldwide. The Pre-Season Operations Director will be a critical cross-functional voice to ensure Nike has the right product, in the right amounts, at the right time. This role will lead the supply mode management activities for Global MPO, including the execution of our supply modes decisions (including Air Freight). In addition, this role will influence and implement process improvements to drive holistic seasonal performance across the globe, maximizing revenue-generating actions and ensuring inventory is optimized in the marketplace.For this role the following skills are required:?MS Office ?Project Management?Team Management?Data Analytics?Strategy development and executive storytellingKey AccountabilitiesLead the Team•Create and lead a world class team; drive high team engagement•Provide opportunities for growth and visibility•Develop future facing skill sets and mind sets•Positive, can-do attitude that lifts the collective team•Guide teams to standardize, simplify and ensure consistent reporting in alignment with MPO objectivesCreate the Future•Define and operationalize supply optimization processes (including air freight optimization)•Manage the development of new capabilities, KPIs and advanced analytics to inform & manage in-bound transit mode decisions•Collaborate with planning and analytics teams to create increasingly responsive supply to align with consumer demandDeliver the Business•Create a high performing culture by developing measures of health, and sharing results key business leaders•Partner with DSM and Logistics to provide input into inventory and order book flow needs aligned with factory, logistics, and marketplace capacity•Monitor, leverage, and improve KPIs to optimize productivity/performance of Inventory, Coverage, Cancellations, Contract call-offs, Service, and Cost-To-Serve (C2S), etc.•Seek best practices tools & processes within MPO and implement where applicable•Lead strategic projects across the MPO Seasonal Execution network•Develop multi-year strategic vision, plans and capability roadmaps that support Nike and Seasonal Execution business goalsQualificationsStrong quantitative (i.e. statistics, optimization, simulation), data visualization and communication skills
Deep process and operational experience, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Project Management, and Process Improvement with progressive responsibility
Ability to communicate complex concepts simply, verbally and in writing. Ability to create high quality project reports and simple, succinct, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations
Ability to effectively respond to questions from leadership team, clients, and colleagues; influence decision making; and implement project deliverables
Strategy development & planning experience
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
Passionate about problem solving
Change agent/change management skillset
Demonstrated ability to learn new advanced analytics toolsets quickly and independently
Bachelor's Degree required; Masters/MBA preferred Interest in telling stories, both written and verbal
Understanding of SAP systems, and Cognos a plus
Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines in a team environment
