DescriptionWill develop, maintain, and improve java, web service-based applications. Will build quality applications by using test automation in a continuously integrated development environment and automated build pipeline. Will actively participate with an Agile Squad focused on building java web services with a goal of delivering software with every sprint iteration. Will be responsible for the contemporary development and testing of techniques and tools, which includes having a fundamental understanding of when to write unit, functional, and end-to-end tests. Will be responsible for promoting best practices through reference code and diagrams, working with architecture teams to design and implement best-in-class services, and helping to guide the team through technical guidance and code reviews. Will ensure the financial integrity (accuracy, completeness, and timeliness) of back-end retail transactions using in-house data integrations. Will work on new services and implementing updates to existing RESTful, microservice-based architecture. Will foster industry standard compliance. Will develop the global financial platforms. Will work with tools including Java, Jenkins, Jira, Gradle, GIT, Jenkins, and Asgard. Will work with Netflix OSS, NoSQL (DynamoDB), microservices, Splunk, New Relic, Jetty, Sonar, Docker, and Linux. Will work with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, EC2, S3, SQS, and Lambda). Will collaborate with multiple development teams. Will work with computer science data structures and algorithms. Will directly supervise 12 to 15 subordinates. Will engage in 10 to 15 percent domestic and international travel. QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or engineering. Experience: seven years of experience in software engineering. Skills/Requirements: 1 year of experience: (1) Java, (2) Amazon Cloud Services, (3) building security and incident management, (4) using Agile methodology, (5) working within DevOps, (6) software design and architecture, (7) continuous integration and continuous deployment automation, (8) project management, and (9) service oriented architecture and REST WebServices.
