DescriptionThe UX Foundation team is responsible for creating services and resources that accelerate front end teams delivering Nike.com. Our projects include common components, backend tools for front end teams and core CSS for all of Nike.com.
Your role will be a new one, working with the front end teams to improve analytics instrumentation and observability on nike.com. This involves working closely with the data capture, site reliability and front end engineering teams.
You will lead by example in delivering critical solutions from concept to production and be an advocate of emerging technologies and development techniques to address current and future consumer needs. You will serve as mentor, providing technical guidance and support to team members. Presenting complex ideas, anticipating potential objections, and persuading others to consider your point of view are all skills and situations where you excel.
Your customers are the front end engineers working on nike.com experiences and a significant part of your job is reaching out to these teams to understand their challenges and supporting their adoption of our tools and services.
QualificationsWhat we're looking for:
You have 8+ years of software development experience
You have strong skills in team leadership and building positive relationships across Engineering, Product and Architecture
You can present and explain technical efforts at multiple levels of detail
You preferably have experience with AWS
You have prior experience in analytics instrumentation and front end metrics for application monitoring.
You have experience working full stack but with a focus on Node.js
You value empathy
You thrive on collaboration and in a communal environment
You are an excellent communicator
You have a commitment to performing technical code reviews
You value practical and simple solutions
