As the Senior Devops Engineer, you'll provide seasoned experience to the GTMS Cloud Innovation Team, an agile team responsible for enabling Devops methodology as well as designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure and disaster recovery patterns shared across the organization.  You will provide team leadership, including technical skill development, on-boarding and mentoring of engineers.   You will provide deep technical consulting to other product teams and outside organizations.  You will work with the engineering and operations teams to apply Agile practices and Devops principles to identify and create tools to increase productivity and reduce waste in the build and deploy practices. You will work to implement the developer enablement vision and strategy for the Nike GTMS organization.  Finally, embodying our GTMS technical principles, you will strive to automate everything, service enable systems, create simplicity, think cloud first, and be security minded.
QualificationsBachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems years of relevant work experience
5 years’ professional experience in infrastructure/development/other relevant field, preferably with a large corporate entity
Development experience (Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Golang etc.)
Automation experience in multiple scripting languages
Deep understanding of patterns and practices such as serverless development, object oriented programming, and functional programming.
Experience with Git, Subversion or other version control systems
Experience with continuous integration and/or continuous delivery
Ability to develop new tools
Solid understanding of Agile principles
Ability to communicate, influence and partner effectively using strong verbal and written communication
Direct experience with configuration management tools, such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible
Direct experience with cloud automation with Terraform, Cloudformation or similar tools.
Deep knowledge of high availability architecture
Experience providing leadership to development, infrastructure, or operations teams including providing daily guidance, setting coding standards, reviewing code, and/or conducting one-on-one’s
Experience architecting, designing and/or implementing solutions with AWS IaaS products
Experience with monitoring tools such as Sensu, NewRelic, Nagios or Ganglia
Experience with containers using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or AWS Elastic Container Service.
