DescriptionBeing a part of the Nike Direct Allocation Team is about more than just shipping product to stores and digital fulfillment centers. It’s about being a part of how Nike shows up to our consumers in the marketplace. It’s about ensuring that we have the right product for the consumer:  when they want it, where they want it, and in the right quantity. As an Allocation Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing allocation strategies for your category as well as coaching your team to develop strategies for their own categories. You’ll be called upon to be an allocation expert and you will also be responsible for managing a team of Allocation Analysts. As our Allocation Manager, you will coach the team on different methods and approaches to allocation – how to maximize opportunity in a high volume, low capacity door; how to minimize risk while protecting sales in low volume doors; understanding the differences in allocating footwear, apparel and equipment – all in the name of achieving revenue, sell thru and inventory turn goals while maximizing in-stock rates and consumer experience. This is a role that will require tactical execution, but also challenge you to think strategically, especially in our approach to high visibility marketing initiatives and Brand Moments, as well as managing inventory for the latest, hottest innovative product in the marketplace in the company’s most highly-visible locations. You will be an ambassador for Allocation, working with cross-functional teammates in areas like Tech, Supply Chain, Marketplace Operations & Field Leadership to improve our processes and system capabilities. You will partner with Merchandising, Planning, Brand Marketing and Visual Presentation managers to ensure buying strategies support our allocation and visual merchandising strategies. You’ll lead and maintain a motivating work environment as well as take responsibility for Human Resource Planning (HRP), hiring processes, Coaching for Excellence (CFE) and training. You will be tasked with leading and inspiring your team to drive efficiencies and success within the Nike Factory Store business in a team-focused organization. You will be a critical member of the Allocation Leadership team.Travel about 5% of the time. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Math, Economics or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ merchant buying, allocating and/or planning experience for a multi-store retailer
Allocation experience is strongly preferred
Strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, write complex formulas, and maintain data integrity across multiple linked spreadsheets
Power Point proficiency a big plus
Experience with Just Enough allocation system preferred
Experience using allocation systems, SAP knowledge is preferred 
Knowledge of VBA and/or SQL also a plus
Minimum 2 years’ experience managing 2-4 direct reports
