Senior Lead Software Engineer – Nike Digital Engineering Job in Beaverton, VT

Together, we are building a real time data ingestion system that allows downstream consumers to browser and receive data from a variety of sources, both internal and external. And we are looking for senior level talent like you to contribute to this journey. As a Lead Engineer for RTP, you’ll use your technical development expertise to collaborate and align with other Consumer Data Engineering teams working on a real time data platform. Experience with big data patterns in AWS is a large plus.Utilizing your background in software engineering to work in our large and dynamic environment, you will play a key contributor role in all phases of the software development lifecycle. You will provide leadership to a team of Software Engineers and support Agile teams to ensure that we move quickly and deliver solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders. You'll collaborate with other software engineers, architects, and product teams to create solid solutions that support Nike’s aggressive growth in the area of data. The ability to foster collaboration and mentor engineers is paramount. We expect you to have strong opinions, weakly held.Qualifications
• 7+ years professional IT or related experience• 5+ years experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practicing Test Driven Development• Senior level coding skills in either Scala, JavaScript, Golang, or Python• Development experience with technologies including Spark, Hive, Snowflake, DynamoDB, and Lambda • Previous experience in a technical lead role• Ability to lead Story Carding sessions• Working knowledge of the Amazon Web Services stack• Participation in key business, architectural and technical decisions • Experience hiring software engineers• Knowledge of DevOps practices including “infrastructure as code", metrics and cloud-native architecture• Knowledge of DevOps tools including CloudFormation and/or Terraform• Experience working with relational or nosql data stores. AWS databases such as RDS and DynamoDB preferred• Experience working in an Agile team including Scrum, Kanban or XP Job ID: 00414295
