DescriptionCapability BuildingDevelop thorough understanding of operational and business issues
Drive development and implementation of capabilities with cross-functional geo and global partners
Ensures a high quality of project management practices in line with Nike standard methodologies (including Lean)
Apply transition management principles, tools and methodologies
Understand the cost/benefit analysis (cost-to-serve) of capabilities to provide key stakeholders with an understanding of financial impact.  Aggregate data and analyze to tell a cohesive story on the marketplace
Engage and collaborate with global and geo supply chain teams and Nike functions to define and execute strategic capability plans aligned with business strategic plans
Seek best practices, tools & processes within Marketplace Operations and Nike functions and implement where applicable
Support capability intake process
Relationship Management/TeamDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, establish and maintain an operational alliance with partner functions (Logistics, Sales, DSM, Merch, etc.) that drive supply chain efficiencies and process improvements
Actively participate in the Marketplace Operations community and build network with peers
Influence teams on the importance of Marketplace Development Plans
Ensure operations discussions are consumer-centric and holistic
Lead cross-functional and cross-go project teams to deliver identified objectives and ensure capabilities are transitioned to the business
Strategic Planning & CommunicationActively engage in Strategic Planning process including by articulating business requirements within the wider Nike organization and manage & measure progress vs. plan
Ensure alignment between MPO Strategic Plan, business development plans and cross-functional and cross-geo strategic plans
Optimize communication efforts focusing on essential information and right audience and prepare/communicate relevant summaries of business results
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience required
Note:  One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 years; Masters + 4 years; Associates degree + 6 years; High School + 7 years
Demonstrate conceptual understanding of Nike Supply Chain business models and characteristics, as well as industry best practices and trends
Demonstrate ability to define, lead, drive and finish complex projects. Very focused on results & strong problem-solving ability
Understands group dynamics and is able to facilitate discussions and build consensus in support of stated goals
Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial concepts; ability to analyze business processes and profitability models, creating solutions from the results
Strong written and verbal communication skills; effectively communicates with all levels of the organization capable of working and influencing within Matrix management structure
Strong understanding of processes and information systems and how technology can be applied to gain efficiencies
Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
Comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization
Self-directed, comfortable working in ambiguous environments
