DescriptionWorking at our North America headquarters in Beaverton, you'll join the NA Nike Direct Strategy Team. You’ll be responsible for supporting the NSO Leadership Team to develop mid- and long-term growth strategies, to define business initiatives and plans, and to manage key strategic projects for the business. You will be reporting into the NA Nike Direct Strategic Planning Director who supports the VP/GM of NA Nike Direct.Key Responsibilities include:Shape and drive NA Nike Direct strategic priorities to help create the NSO future, engaging with the Nike Direct and NSO leadership teams to define priorities, opportunities and the scope of business plans
Coordinate strategic planning process milestones and deliverables, including the developing of 3-year strategic plans, annual plans, quarterly/monthly business reviews and other business updates
Provide insights and analytical support for strategic initiatives, research projects related to market trends, consumer profiles and competitive intelligence
Develop high-impact presentations to communicate strategic plans and visions across the organization
Be a chief agent for change, connecting across the organization to drive opportunities through the planning process, anticipating and solving hurdles along the way
Act as chief of staff for the NSO VP/GM, being their proxy in apropos meetings and being capable of making informed business decisions, as well as shaping the discussion
Contribute to the advancement of strategic thinking, analysis and storytelling across the Strategy function and the broader organization
QualificationsStrong academic background – MBA preferred
At least 8 years working experience, including experience in management consulting, strategic planning or business development
Relevant Experience: strong exposure to retail, membership programs and/or omnichannel strategies
Strategic mindset: proven ability to use strategic tools and frameworks to analyze complex strategic problems, develop clear recommendations and present findings
Quantitative background: proven ability to synthesize data and analyze research related to consumers, industries and competitors
Problem-solver: ability to break down and simplify ambiguous problems into executable milestones and actions
Project leadership: proven ability to effectively scope and execute projects and to lead cross-functional teams
Presentation prowess: proven ability to craft and articulate compelling presentations with engaging storytelling for communicating strategies and recommendations
Excellent communication (in English) and relationship management skills – the ability to present and communicate to senior, high profile leaders
Team orientated: strong interpersonal skills and ability to work the matrix to reach project milestones, whilst also a pro-active self-starter who can work independently
