DescriptionThe Category Brand Director for Nike Direct Marketing will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of our storytelling and experiences delivered directly to the consumer. You will be on the forefront of identifying the shifts happening in our industry and sport and then partnering with functional experts and respective categories to shape how we define the future of our connection to the consumer. Collaboration, strategic brief development, communication, planning, and creativity will be vital pieces of the Job. Responsibilities: Manages the Seasonal Nike Direct Process, Planning, Communication, and Reviewing. This includes, crafting and driving the seasonal plan for Categories across all Nike Direct channels – works across geos and channels to drive consumer experience.
Partners with Category Seasonal Brand Leads and Functional Leads to craft vision and drive execution for content and experiences across all Nike Direct channels (digital and physical).
Responsible for crafting and driving Category Work with marketing science to gather and distill valuable data insights that help inform key decisions (product creation for members, member unlocks, product journey framework, target segments, high value target segments, etc.)
Works with category product leads and category brand leads to understand design, innovation and sport angle for every key product story to be told across digital and retail channels
Responsible for briefing all NDB category stories into X category creative team.  Close partnership with brand design team to inspire, educate, brief and manage the X NDB category work
Close partnership with category lead in all geos.  Listen, inform, collaborate to get best story for performance category across Geo’s per their needs
Partners with a team of digital, retail, editorial  and operations functional leaders
Tests and learns how performance category consumer responds, to inform work going forward.
Expert on the category consumer, mindsets, shared behaviors, content performance KPIs, trends, and business.
Category business and brand plan expert – with category team, expert on all things category, including how Nike Direct and category business accelerate one another, and unique opportunities to serve consumer and grow business
Qualifications
Passionate about sport and the consumers of sport.
Minimum of 6 years of directly relevant marketing experience
Experience working with marketing insights to derive actionable insights
Experience leading and driving end-to-end planning
Ability to masterfully juggle the details and the big picture
Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and making persuasive presentations to senior leadership
Outstanding leadership and coaching skills to lead functional teams and large cross-functional projects
Experience of working cross-functionally in a matrix organization
Ability to understand challenges or underlying opportunities, share ideas, and develop effective responses
Adapts quickly to move at the pace of consumer and work in a constantly evolving environment, making judgment calls and shifts as needed
