Nike Digital Engineering is looking for Principal (Expert) Engineer specializing in iOS Development to spearhead the production and distribution of world class applications in Retail Stores and beyond. As a Principal engineer, you are a highly productive individual contributor. Your day to day responsibilities change based on the need of the overall organization. You may spend a few weeks defining the common architecture across all retail applications, then help another team struggling with a difficult problem. You may work with teams to elevate their work to establish new open source projects (internal or external to Nike), then help a team that is short handed catch up and meet an important business goal. Scope and Responsibilities•Create the applications that power the Retail Mobile Experience across the fleet of Nike stores•Drive the right solutions for the business, helping solve nebulous technical problems and scalable, resilient products that have huge impact on our Retail environment•Work across multiple product teams to establish a common architecture, frameworks, and best practices to create efficiencies and opportunities for reuse•Collaborate across teams outside of Retail to bring new ideas and processes to the larger NDe communityQualifications•12+ years of experience in engineering, IT, or a related field•Demonstrated experience developing iOS applications, both in Enterprise and consumer environments•Expertise in Swift and common frameworks (Mastery of frameworks such as UIKit, CoreData, CoreLocation, APNS, etc)•Adept at modern DevOps practices (test driven and behavior driven development, build and deployment automation, mocking frameworks)Bonus Skills•Experience in Retail environments•Long standing contributor role on large open source project, or lead role on smaller open source project•Expertise in one or more of the following sub-domains: Application security (OIDC), Asynchronous application design, Content Management and Distribution, Mobile application development, Beacons/NFC, something that will surprise us•Strong skills in team leadership Job ID: 00414318
