DescriptionCushioning Innovation is the intersection of sports, science, biomechanics, materials, design, manufacturing, and engineering. As a Cushioning Innovation Intern, you will work closely across product innovation to invent, evaluate, and improve Nike’s Cushioning Technologies utilizing established and developing new methods. You will assist in creating first samples, completing initial product runs, and proving out new concepts using plastics processing equipment, laboratory validation equipment, and design/analysis software.QualificationsQualificationsWorking on a Degree in STEM field
Comfortable running complex machinery with high regard for safety
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of science, technology, engineering and math
Ability to work in a manufacturing like environment
Ability to use manual tools
Good problem-solving skills
Basic time management skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred QualificationsUnderstand US and metric units of measurement for pressure, temperature, length etc.
Basic understanding of 2-D and 3-D design
