DescriptionThe Finance and Strategy function at Nike, Inc. works with our most senior executives to define and create the future of our businesses and the broader market. As part of our Global Business Planning team, you will provide finance thought leadership to drive and enable our Nike, Inc. enterprise strategy and functional priorities. You will lead the Strategic Finance function, and in partnership with Global Strategic Planning you will bring external insights around business, marketplace and macro trends that may impact the way we create value for consumers, for shareholders and for Nike. As such, you’ll work with finance functional partners across the organization to line up our business and financial strategies and processes to evolve accordingly.As the primary finance partner for Global Strategic Planning, Corporate Development and Global Market Intelligence you will connect the dots between strategic projects, M&A activity and consumer trends through our finance planning processes.The Strategic Finance team also plays a critical role in creating the future around financial measures of success and how we operationalize the tools, systems & people to track progress and deliver against our long-term goals. In this role you will:Lead the global finance SWAT team, including ad-hoc financial analysis in support of enterprise-level strategy, functional priorities and special situations
Drive project work streams to evaluate financial implications of strategic shifts and/or business decisions on the Nike, Inc. portfolio
Lead quantitative analytic work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision-making on key business issues
Collaborate with key leaders across the business to deliver best-in-class solutions
Develop and maintain a “big ideas” list that shapes the projects your team will drive and deliver
Directly lead a team of 3-5 high potential talent typically sourced from MBA programs and top internal talent sources
QualificationsBachelor's degree, MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred
Minimum 10 years’ total experience (5 years’ experience post MBA) in finance, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, business development or related fields
2 additional years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Financial/Quantitative Analysis: Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial modeling; technical and corporate finance and valuation skills a must
Project Management: Effectively plan and tightly manage the scope and lifecycle of a project while balancing multiple constituencies
Interpersonal/Influence: Align senior leaders and key stakeholders through excellent interpersonal skills, high EQ, and persuasion
Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and coach a diverse, world-class team that is empowered to bring the best of themselves to work every day
Soft lines or consumer focused industry experience a must
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills required
