About the job

As our Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be a leader and a key collaborator in the development and advancement of additive manufacturing in support of Nike Air development.  You will work with cross functional teams that may consist of Design Engineers, Tooling Engineers, Manufacturing Technicians, Machinists, Process Engineers, and other teams within Nike to support Air MI strategy. We’re looking for an Additive Process Engineer who can provide the following:Create and continually improve Additive process standards in support of Air MI Additive strategy
Be an advocate for Additive manufacturing – and assist others in the adoption of Additive solutions – in support of organizational goals
Demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate the technical aspects of Additive - including processes, equipment operation, and design
Create standards and train Technicians in Additive manufacturing processes
Identify Environment, Health, and Safety improvement opportunities
Stay current with latest technologies, equipment, and materials
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct equipment issues
Establish calibration, qualification, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) processes
Develop strong working relationships with Air MI Additive stakeholders
Identify and implement improvements to impact quality, cost, and delivery
Identify and share best-practices with other Nike Additive groups
Qualifications
BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics Engineering, or similar field
2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Additive manufacturing
Familiarity with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software is desired
Strong written and verbal skills are required
Experience with product design and tooling is a plus
Experience with process improvement is desired
Ability to handle multiple competing projects simultaneously
Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities is required
Some lifting of tooling and equipment (up to 50lb)
Travel up to 10%
