DescriptionNike is seeking a Retail Excellence Capabilities Manager at our Global headquarters in Beaverton, OR.In this role, you will bring together and manage cross-functional teams to define, plan and deliver industry-leading store and digital retail capabilities for Nike’s Global Nike Direct business.

Capability initiatives may include the development and delivery of new omni-channels capabilities or innovative inventory management approaches supported by solutions like RFID. This role will be involved in managing capabilities initiatives from strategy through execution.

The successful candidate must be able to find the intersection of consumer needs, business and operational requirements, technical feasibility, and business impact, and lead a cross functional team to deliver against key initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
 Work with Retail Center of Excellence VP and Senior Director to identify consumer-led retail capability opportunities and priorities
Manage Global and Geo cross-functional teams, from areas including Brand, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, Consumer Services, and Product/Technology to design new, innovative and improved retail capabilities that deliver consumer and business value
Work with Global and Geo teams to operationalize new retail capabilities through a pilot, perfect, scale approach with a focus on sustainable outcomes
Create key levers to manage new capabilities and provide frameworks to geographies to create consumer and brand value






Qualifications6+ years of experience in Operations, Finance, Strategic Planning or Technology.  Retail experience in one or more of these fields a plus
Experience leading and managing process change efforts
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or related field
MBA preferred
Proven presentation and facilitation skills including active process facilitation
Experience working with technology as an enabler to business process
Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues and navigate the Nike matrix
Strong project management skills with an ability to achieve aggressive goals
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully and manage and resolve conflict
Expertise in building global consensus across business partners and influencing outcomes
Must excel working in team oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time
