Lead Big Data Engineer Job in Beaverton, VT

Will work with a variety of teammates to build business intelligence and analytics solutions for digital offerings in Beaverton, OR. Will be responsible for the delivery of solutions on top of Hadoop Big Data Platform implementation. Will work with HDFS, Pig, Hive, Airflow, Impala, and Spark. Will build libraries, user defined functions, and frameworks on Hadoop ecosystem. Will research, evaluate, and utilize new technologies, tools, and frameworks around Hadoop and AWS ecosystem. Will write programs in Python, Scala, and Shell Scripting. Will work with Hadoop architecture, including Cloudera Hadoop distribution and AWS EMR. Will provide performance and scalability tuning, algorithms, and computational complexity. Will complete solution design, development, and end-to-end delivery. Will use machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis with R and Python, NoSQL and Columnar databases, including Cassandra, Redshift, Hbase, Kafka, and Kenesis. Will lead teams through requirement gathering, design, development, and implementation of complex data solutions. Will review designs and code implemented by team members. Will mentor and develop other data engineering in adopting best practices. Will collaborate with other technical teams in creating sustainable and scalable solutions. QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or business intelligence and analytics. Experience: Three years of experience in software development. Skills/Requirements: 1 year of experience: : (1) big data analytics, (2) Airflow, (3) Apache Hadoop, (4) NoSQL, (5) data science, (6) Python, (7) Relational Database Management Systems, (8) Shell Scripting, (9) Apache Spark; and (10) Amazon Web Services.
