DescriptionThe Digital Innovation Prototype Designer plays a key role in the prototyping and ideation process to imagine future products and experiences that enrich interactions between Nike and employees. You will leverage your ability to quickly develop low-fi concepts to test, learn from failures and iterate before moving to hi-fi digital designs that can be leveraged in the development of new solutions. You will leverage proven practices based on Service Design methodologies to create an efficient rapidprototyping and feedback process.With your help, prototyping and testing can deepen our understanding of employee behaviors, beliefs, and values, allowing us to deliver experiences that feel intuitive, accessible, and brand- aligned. As a great communicator, you’ll also help convey these stories and incorporate them into artifacts that serve as reference points across the company.You will work closely with members of our team, including Researchers and Designers, to translate concepts into living, breathing prototypes, define and deliver new features, test new concepts and assist with final implementation. You will iterate constantly on interactions, animations and subtle details to deliver a Nike experience.Responsibilities• Partner with Nike HR teams to prioritize prototyping in a rapidly changing environment• Facilitate workshops that coach subject matter experts from ideation into prototyping• Drive minimum viable product (MVP) sessions that test assumptions and iterate rapidly• Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from designers and researchers• Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies• Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines• Assist Nike Technology and vendor partners with final development of products• Advocate the team’s work to diverse audiences through presentations and experiences• Serve as a resource and mentor for partners and peersQualifications
• BS degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science or related software development or equivalent practical experience.• A passion for innovation and technology with a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure• Understanding of underlying technology is necessary. You don't have to be a developer, but you understand what makes things work• 3+ years of experience in visual design, interaction design or combination of related work• 3+ years of developing robust, highly scalable, websites and digital applications• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks• Experience with vector and motion graphics and development on mobile platforms• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills• Outgoing team player, prolific on the board sketcher able to function independently and in a team environment NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
