DescriptionAs Director, Innovation Finance you will play an essential role in helping Nike realize its’ 2X innovation goals.NIKE has a rich history of delivering innovative performance product to the Millions of athletes* in the world.You will work directly with Senior Leaders of the Innovation Function to develop and execute long-term growth strategies to drive Innovation across multiple dimensions of NIKE.
·The role will specifically support the Financial management of the Innovation Function, a dynamic, highly interdisciplinary group of talented scientists, engineers and product experts with a mission to unleash the superhero in every Athlete* through science driven innovations that come to life in Footwear, Apparel and new business models.
·In addition to helping manage Financial targets, this role will play a highly influential role in guiding decision makingacross the innovation portfolio of new capabilities and product platforms.
The Director, Innovation Finance will:
·Support the Sr. Director of Innovation Finance to analyze, prioritize and execute against the Financial goals of the NIKE innovation portfolio, and lead/co-lead the annual and monthly financial planning cycle (CSR, AOP, Budget, Monthly Forecast, variance analysis)
·Manage and Lead a team of Finance professionals that are accountable in supporting discrete sub-set of the Innovation portfolio
·Deliver actionable insights (quantitative & qualitative) to Sr. Leaders through robust Financial analysis to enable Fluid Funding principles
·Partner closely with the Nike Explore Team’s Strategy function and other internal stakeholders across Nike to ensure Innovation project portfolio is healthy, balanced and positioned to deliver against 2X Innovation commitments
·This is a unique role, one that will play a critical role in Creating the Future of Sport &NIKE.It requires a flexible thinker and superior communicator who is comfortableworking cross-functionally and influencing different personalities & perspectives.You will work closely across various Functional areas including Digital, Sport Research Lab, Footwear, Apparel and Advanced FW Exploration as you help influence and shape the portfolio of Innovation projects ranging from near term business plans to multi-year strategic plans.
Qualifications·Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree is preferred·Minimum 8 years total experience in Consumer Products Financial Planning & Analysis or related field·Proven experience in managing complex Financial investments, expert data synthesis and high-profile communications·Self-Directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments·Superior interpersonal skills·Prior experience in Innovation, manufacturing or product creation a strong plus
