DescriptionAs our Director of Leadership Communications for our Global Employee Communications, you will oversee communications for Nike executives to our more than 73,000 employees globally. You'll be responsible for developing strategies to engage Nike's global employee base, working with a global team of communications professionals, using traditional, digital and social media platforms. The role will also support executive communications for NIKE, Inc. key business functions, consulting on employee communications strategy for key initiatives. This role will also help shape positioning of NIKE, Inc.’s strategic direction to employees.This role will lead a team of employee communications professionals to oversee Nike global corporate business messages across an employee audience and create strategic, integrated communications plans.Responsibilities to include:Developing highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics that engage NIKE, Inc. employees, position Nike as a leading innovation brand and help showcase Nike’s leaders
Develop and support key communications strategies and content for business functions as needed
Lead a dynamic team to create engaging employee programs to support NIKE, Inc.'s business goals
Help lead global reward and recognition program, including an annual awards ceremony
Support global corporate communications events where appropriate
Support organizational announcements and strategy rollouts to employees
Create plans, track timelines and oversee a budget. Oversee internal and external approval processes where appropriate
QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, English, Communications or related discipline
8+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or corporate communications and/ or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations
Two additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Management skills include high-profile communications, strategic planning, budgeting and creative solutions with experience in developing proactive, creative communications and extensive communications strategies
Demonstrated and extensive experience writing and editing for print, multi-media formats and digital social formats
Experience communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully manage differing points of view and strengthen relationships and rapport
Extensive writing experience
Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures
Ability to Travel, 10-15%
Preferred:Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry
Experience working on high-profile consumer brands
Experience in working effectively at senior-level brand management and a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to peers
