The Nike Direct Personalization Capabilities team is delivering the technology products and services that power personalized experiences across digital, physical, and partner experiences spanning the global Nike retail ecosystem. As the Director for Recommendations Capabilities, you will own developing the technology vision for how Nike optimizes products, stories, events, unlocks, and workouts for every consumer globally at 1:1 scale. This will be the “who” and the “what” engine that powers personalized marketing. Sitting within engineering, this position is accountable for working across engineering teams, data science, marketing, retail, geographies, categories, and digital experience teams, to align on a holistic strategy and leading a software development team in delivering that technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background marketing technology platforms, technical product management practices, and a practical fluency in applied machine learning. This product manager will be responsible for driving a fluid intake and prioritization process, developing a backlog based on the needs of end business users and prioritizing the features and functionality driven by defined roadmap. A strong business acumen, a passion for cross functional collaboration, acute attention to technical detail, and a tolerance for ambiguity will be critical traits for success.

Previous experience in delivering organizational capabilities leveraging a mix of COTS services, open source tools, and in-house development, for a large multi-national brand is preferred. The ideal candidate will have had significant previous experience delivering marketing automation and omni-channel capabilities in a combined digital and physical retail environment. The candidate should be fluent in standard delivery practices (OKRs, Scrum, Kanban), and be able to develop and measure business impact both in terms of delivery and consumer impact.
Qualifications•5-10 years of experience leveraging Data Science, Recommendations Systems, or similar to build practical, data-driven capabilities for digital marketing or other digital consumer facing applications.
•Strong background in leading and delivering enterprise capabilities for digital/direct organizations. Specific knowledge in marketing automation, segmentation, data science, and machine learning applications preferred.
•Big systems thinker that can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then execute those plans.
•Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail required.
•Great team player with an ability to partner, lead, and influence across multiple teams and capabilities.
