DescriptionAs our Footwear Designer II, you'll produce innovative footwear designs for the NIKEiD custom category. You'll collaborate with our Design and Category management teams to create innovative product designs that appeal to targeted consumers and advance Nike’s design image. You'll also present visual concept solutions to product briefs; collaborate with our Design, Development and Product Management groups to focus product designs for market success; and finalize technical packages. This opportunity also involves proactively following the execution of all product details, including construction, color, form, style, detail, fit, performance and cost/value requirements. In addition, you'll develop an understanding of the category-specific consumer and their culture by learning about competitor products, consumer retail habits and market trends; and translate what you've learned into all product designs.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field
Experience translating progressive streetwear and/or consumer culture and storytelling elements onto footwear
5-8 years' experience designing and developing innovative footwear products
Knowledge of color, textures, human factors and form related to designing excellent products
Previous footwear design experience preferred
Experience in handmaking and/or deconstruction techniques
PhotoShop and Illustrator skills and experience with 3D design programs are a plus
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plastics and other engineering materials are ideal
