This role is accountable for the performance of the team and business. Team responsibilities include design engineering for product development, process advancement and design for tool builds. You will provide technical guidance to the team and manage priorities to address resource and operational challenges. You will be responsible for maximizing the potential of the team through consistent mentoring, training, and opportunities for professional development. You will work closely with our external vendors and partners to ensure we are utilizing the best tools and to stay on the forefront of the industry. You will work closely with other cross-functional technical leaders to align on business needs and to establish the future vision for our Design Engineering function to improve our methods and business systems to streamline work. QualificationsRequirements for the position include:•Education/experience:•Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a relatable field•8+ years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering•2+ years’ of people management experience•Experience in Design Engineering •Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex information in a simple, easily understood manner to diverse groups of stakeholders•Proven ability to interact with all levels, partnering, facilitating, and influencing•Engineering leader who can recruit top talent and build teams that deliver results.•Ability to delegate and hold team accountable for results•Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and leading teams through change•Strong project management capabilities to manage multiple project streams and complexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented way required•Ability to travel 10% of the timePreferred additional qualifications:•Experience in Tooling Design and BuildStill Interested?NIKE is a growth company.
