Cost Engineers will develop and execute process for establishing and maintaining standard costs. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Finance to actively audit cost standards, understand and manage cost drivers and create solutions that achieve manufacturing process efficiencies and product cost targets.In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of products costing by defining new processes and tools to drive competitive, sustainable and standardized cost parameters. You will partner with Engineer and Manufacturing teams to establish standards that support best practices. Specifically, you will partner with Engineer and Finance in the evolution of Air MI’s costing and pricing framework.This role involves solving complex challenges and bringing new perspective to existing processes and solutions. You will work independently, lead cross-functional teams to enable accurate cost standards. Additionally, you will be accountable for cross-functional project initiatives while managing your core responsibilities. Still interested?NIKE is a growth company. QualificationsRequirements for the position include:•Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Engineering, Business Management, related field, or 2 additional years’ experience in-lieu of degree•A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including footwear development, engineering, manufacturing, or costing•Knowledge of footwear construction, innovation, costing, and global business management•Experience with product costing in manufacturing environment including valuing materials, labor & overhead cost components•Experience with standard cost and variance analysis•Knowledge of footwear sourcing, processes, and events from product concept to delivery is preferred•A pragmatic thinker and creative problem solver who will proactively research and drive collective resolution•Strong verbal and written communication skills•Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, remain flexible, be results-oriented, and work productively within a matrix organization•Work comfortably in an environment of ambiguity•Mentor and help train new or less experience team members•High proficiency using MS Excel and PowerPoint•Experience with SAP is preferred•Experience with a digital analytics software package or a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)•Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles preferred•Experience working on process improvement projects•Ability to travel 5-10% of the time NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
