The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. DescriptionAs our Director of Employee Communications for Nike Brand Marketing, you will oversee employee communications for Nike’s Chief Marketing officer, his leadership team, and the employees that work in the organization. The role will be part of the Global Employee Communications team. You'll be responsible for developing strategies to engage this employee base, working with a global team of communications professionals, using traditional, digital and social media platforms with a focus on create and compelling storytelling. The role will oversee Nike global corporate business messages across employee audiences for Nike Brand marketing and will create strategic, integrated communications plans. This position will also be responsible for helping accelerate key brand initiatives across the broader employee base. Responsibilities to include: Develop highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics that engage employees, show Nike as a leading innovation brand, and help showcase Nike’s leaders
Oversee storytelling, energy and engagement across all Nike employees for key brand initiatives
Develop and support key communications strategies and content including org announcements and similar kind of content
Create and support engaging employee programs to support NIKE, Inc.'s business goals
Help lead and oversee global reward and recognition program for the Brand Marketing Function
Support employee engagement events (All Hands meetings, Leadership Engagement moments)
Create and manage content for the Intranet
Create plans, tracking timelines and budget, and oversee internal and external approval processes where appropriate
QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, English, Communications, or related discipline
8+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or corporate communications and/ or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations
2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Management skills include high-profile communications, strategic planning, budgeting and creative solutions with experience in developing proactive, creative communications, and extensive communications strategies
Demonstrated and extensive experience writing and editing for print, multi-media formats and digital social formats
Experience communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully manage differing points of view and strengthen relationships and rapport
Extensive writing experience
Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures
Ability to Travel, 10-15%
Preferred: Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry
Experience working on high profile consumer brands
Experience in working effectively at a high senior level brand management and a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to peers
